LGBQTIA Pride Month observed globally in June, is a time to commemorate the LGBQTIA+ community’s history, struggles, and achievements. It is an opportunity to recognize the diversity and resilience of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or asexual, as well as those questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.
The ASL Shabbat Coalition aims to create an inclusive space within our Jewish community where all people of all sexual orientations or gender identities can unite to honor the Jewish faith and embrace their unique identities. We look forward to celebrating with members of our Deaf, Jewish, and LGBQTIA+ communities who will lead our Shabbat service.
The gathering, which will be captioned and voice interpreted, will take place on Friday, June 9, at 7:00 PM EST.
