The Community Vigil Tomorrow at 7 pm EST

On behalf of the Jewish Deaf Congress, we stand with Israel as our extended family lives are in danger.

Thousands of rockets have been fired across Israel, and a growing number of people have been injured, hospitalized, kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and killed. Many homes and institutions have been damaged and continue to increase in greater numbers.

We are thinking about our Deaf Israelis, Palestinians, and Bedouins in the midst of the sound of sirens, limited communication access, and/or staying locked down in darkness when they rely on visual language, Israeli, Arabic, or other sign languages in Israel.

The conflict is highly complex and emotionally charged because it is the war against terrorism. We must remember there is suffering and loss of people’s lives.

In solidarity, please join us in our community vigil, praying for everyone’s safety during this difficult time.
The Florida Society of Jewish Deaf, Hillel at Gallaudet, Jewish Deaf Congress, Jewish Deaf Resource Center, and the Washington Society of Jewish Deaf are collaborating in hosting a special community vigil supporting Israel.
